Why things have changed? And why social media has become a tool for better business?
“Social media is not about the technology, it is about the people and the relationships they form.”
I was able to watch the Social Media Revolution video and was impressed with how social media has impacted the lives of millions of people worldwide. Now, if entrepreneurs would take advantage of the valuable opportunity that comes with this free tool, business would probably become more rewarding for them. Most people today are into social media, and if we want to have more customers, then we should be in places where our prospects hang out and from there we should start to make a connection.
Yes, social media can now be used for lead generation. And to help you in going about this, I’ve listed below just a few great ways which you can try and use to generate business leads for your business.
Number one: Participate in an industry online group, bulletin board or other social networking sites. If we want to leverage social media for our business, we need to be part of a community where we can connect and talk with people who have the same interest as ours. Most of our target audience today makes purchases online and these people try to find support on the Internet. If we come there as an expert, chances are, they will look unto us as their source of help and solution for their needs.
Number two: Craft a quality and relevant content. We probably heard over and over again that “content is king.” That remains true even when we use social media. How would we tell our customers we’re here to provide for their needs if we don’t tell them who we are and what we do? When we’ve already figured out the community to join to and have learned what’s interesting for our target audience, then that is the time for us to create content. We need to invest some time to listen to our prospects’ needs, ask questions, and understand their real need in order to produce an online event, an e-book, a trial version of a software package, or whatever our prospective customers are excited about. When they find the need to have our content, they will register for it.
Number three: Start to blog. Our blogs can be our primary tool to get steady attention from our potential clients. When we publish regularly, and blog for a particular subject, we would be able to show off our expertise, and constantly we can build a trust from our audience. When we already have a loyal audience, we can now create content, include a link to the registration page, and include a call to action below our blog posts to encourage our readers to sign up. When these people are already interested in what we do, we would be able to garner lots of registration from them. That’s lead generation.
“We don’t have a choice on whether we DO social media, the question is, how well we DO it”
